Listen to one MU senior describe her experiences coming out in the black community.
As part of their celebration of Coming Out Week, members of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Questioning community and their allies held a march around campus Tuesday afternoon. After the Pride March, there was a discussion about the challenges of coming out in minority communities.
Coming Out Week events continue this evening with a talk by former NFL athlete Esera Tuaolo, who came out on national television after playing nine seasons in the NFL. Tuaolo will speak at 7 p.m. at Bengal Lair, Memorial Union.
